Classic Album Sundays NYC presents Bob Dylan "Blood on the Tracks"
Sunday, March 11, 2012 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM (EDT)
After a successful year in London, United Kingdom, Classic Album Sundays: A Communal and Audiophile Listening Experience launches in America debuting at Bellwether in Williamsburg on the 11 March. And what better way to debut than with Bob Dylan.
Dylan is THE singer/songwriter who changed popular music and inspired generations of future songwriters. "Blood on the Tracks" is considered one of his best albums. Some of the songs have an impressionist feel as it was recorded after he studied painting with Norman Raeben. This also marked the time of his split with his wife although Dylan claims this has no bearing on the album's material. Now it is over to you to decide.
Join us at 5 pm to listen to some of Bob Dylan's musical inspirations such as Woody Guthrie and some of his contemporaries such as The Band, Neil Young and Joni Mitchell. Please get their as early as you can.
At 7 pm the lights go down, the volume goes up and we play the album from beginning to end on vinyl on our audiophile hi-fi. The audio menu includes a Moon Preamp and phono stage, Mark Levinson 334 power amp and Klipschorn speakers.
Tickets are $10 on the door and $10 + service charge online. We recommend you purchase tickets in advance.
Doors close at 6:45 or when we are at full capacity.
Come join us for some food & drink, some music chat and some heavy duty listening.
